I’m so excited for this official post for ‘All Walks’.
Back in October 2025, I greeted the sweetest woman while out for a walk. Although I wasn’t prepared and didn’t have my microphone, I felt called to turn back after passing her. She agreed to answer a few questions on camera—as long as her face wasn’t shown. 

When I asked what she loves most about having never married. Like many of us, she said she enjoys her space and cooking whatever she wants. We shared a good chuckle over that. Then she gently added that even though she’s single, she finds there’s more value in having a family.

It’s truly interesting to hear the perspective of an 81 year old giving advice to young girls. Times have sure changed and I loved soaking up my chat with her. 

This encounter wasn’t quite my vision, but it reminded me that you have to start where you are, with what you have. After months of carrying my microphone in fear and self doubt— just waiting for the “perfect” stranger— this sweet 81-year-old woman unexpectedly has become the first person I connected with for this project. 

While I may not share views with everyone it’s so important to hear the stories, thoughts and opinions of other people. The thing I love is that we’re all doing the best we can based on our life experiences.

I can’t wait to share stories and ideals from women of all ages, races, and walks of life. No matter who we are, there’s so much we can learn and be inspired by.
