Absolutely not! There is no gray area when it comes to exes. They are either in your past or there is still some sort of attachment and issue with letting go.
Being cordial is one thing- a happy birthday once in a while. But men who remain friends with an ex don’t care to understand boundaries, lack maturity, and could never make you feel safe and secure.
There are so many factors and everything is situational but essentially, this is something you don’t want to have to worry about in the future. I’d cut my losses.
